Guidelines for Artists
Welcome to the Arttheatre.in artist community! To ensure a professional, transparent, and successful experience for both you and our collectors, please adhere to the following guidelines when listing and shipping your artwork.
Part 1: Listing Your Artwork on Our Platform
1. Image Quality is Key The photograph is the first interaction a buyer has with your art. High-resolution, well-lit images that accurately represent the artwork's colors, details, and texture are crucial. Poor quality images can negatively impact a collector's decision to purchase.
2. Upholding Originality and Authenticity The integrity of our gallery is built on originality.
-
Your Creations Only: By listing on Arttheatre.in, you confirm that every piece you upload is your own original creation.
-
Certificate of Authenticity: The Certificate of Authenticity that you sign and send with your painting is your guarantee to the buyer that the work is original and authentic.
-
Strictly Prohibited: Submitting work that is a copy, reproduction, or close imitation of another artist's creation (whether known or unknown) is a serious violation of our terms of service.
Failure to comply with our originality policy will result in the immediate suspension of your artist profile from Arttheatre.in and may lead to further legal action.
Part 2: Guidelines for Shipping Your Sold Artwork
Once your artwork sells, proper packaging and shipping are critical to ensure it reaches the collector safely.
1. Preferred Artwork Formats for Shipping To prevent damage during long-distance transit, we exclusively accept artworks that can be shipped safely.
-
We Prefer: Artworks on rolled canvas or high-quality paper.
-
Please Avoid: Listing artworks that are framed, mounted on heavy wood, or on stretched canvas boards, as these are highly susceptible to damage during shipping.
2. Step-by-Step Packing Guide
-
Prepare the Certificate: After an order is placed, you will receive an email containing a Certificate of Authenticity. Please print, complete, and sign this document for the specific artwork sold.
-
Roll the Artwork: Carefully roll the canvas or paper artwork with the painted side facing outwards. This helps prevent the paint from cracking.
-
Secure the Artwork and Certificate: Place the rolled artwork and the rolled certificate together inside a sturdy tube or box.
-
Protect the Package: Ensure the final package is wrapped with durable, waterproof material to protect it from the elements during transit.
3. Packaging and Liability You are responsible for using high-quality, robust packaging materials. Any artwork that arrives damaged due to inadequate packaging will not be accepted by the buyer and will be returned to you at your expense.
